October- November catch up......

The kitchen renovating has begun, new counter tops and floors, cabinet work next.....

Hello Everyone! Sorry it has been so long to blog.... it has been crazy busy. All good crazy, none the less busy!
I battle the upper respritory junk for almost 2 months so that slowed me down!
I have posted some halloween pictures. The kids loved trick or treating. Ashley wanted to do it again and again..... I suppose she will want santa to come again and again too!!
We have be updating our kitchen. We got new counter tops and Wade and i our neighbor Joe Tiled the floor this past weekend! THanks Joe what a wonderful neighbor you are!!
I am debating on what to do with the cabinets, i want to update the hardware but that requires either restaining or painting all the cabinets and wood trim..... not my favorite thing to do!!! i wil decide what to do after christmas!

Tyler loves the reindeer in the yard, if we come home at night and they are on we have to visit them, pet them and feed them!


Ashley loves the lights in the yard too, she woke up from a nap saw the trees and insited she go out to see them, notice the socks and sandal and pj's what an outfit! only a 2 year old could get away with!!

Fall Fun 2008

WE have had a couple fun trips. The first week in October we went to table rock state park in the upstate to attempt our first camping trip with the kids. They loved playing in the tent. Sleeping was another thing, once we got them wound down they slept but it was a challenge getting to that point! THe marshmellows were a hit. Ashley calls them Fresh mellows and insited on freshmellows for breakfast too! Since we were going hiking we figured she would burn off all the sugar energy before getting strapped into a car seat for the trip home.
WE took a small hike with the kids on Carrick creek trail. Had a picinic on the rocks and then called it a day after playing in the creek!

Then October 14th we headed out to the pumpkin patch with friends to take some fall photos and get some good carving pumpkins
It was a difficult time catching any of the kids looking at the camera.
Ashley's new friend Campbell was there so ashley wanted nothing to do with her brother. All the boys are to young to care about pictures or anything other than throwing the small pumpkins. I will post the cute ones i was able to capture on our morning adventure! We were so glad that daddy was off and able to go an experience this with us! YOur the best Dad!

Marine mud run!

This past saturday some co-workers and i ran the mud run. It was a ton of fun! I am so glad we did it! I am looking forward to next year!

Wow 17 months!

I was looking for a different picture and came across this one.
This is ashley at 17 months.
It feels like yesterday that i had Ashley, let alone a second. The time goes faster every day. Believe me there are days that i can not wait till bed time, but for the majority of the time. I cherish every moment with my little peanuts. I love seeing them discover new things and teach me new things, but at the same time, my babies are getting all grown up and it makes me sad.
I just had pictures of Both the kids today. Tyler is 17 months (and 2 days)and Ashley is 33 months (and 3 days).




and if you can't tell, Tyler was not in the mood for pictures today! The minute we left the portrait studio he was a ball of laughter, amazing they have such strong wills!

Cousin David's Comes to play!

A few weeks ago David and Aimee came over and we all had a great time playing! We went swimming, played in the sprinkle, sand box and swing set. Had dinner and then it was time to clean up! After baths it was wrestling time! It was so funny to see them pile up on each other and play so well! Ashley will have to be tough with a brother and cousin so big and tough!

Tyler's first hair cut!!

Wow My little man is growing up! On Wednesday August 13th Tyler was 16 months and 2 days old got his first hair cut. I intially told Blair not to cut off all his curls, i hated to see them go. I am afraid neither child of mine will resemble me if they don't have some curls! But after we got home and the rest of his hair looked neat and managable, we decided the long curls needed to go so he didn't look as though we were trying to grow a mullet!!!!
Daddy and Tyler are bonding over getting there hair cuts together!

Everytime She would get close to his right ear he would turn and look at her like lady what are you doing to me...... we just kept feeding him and he was very content never cried! What a big boy!!
