house updates

moving right along....
hardwoods are in, sheetrock done, sanded and primed, the brick is done....... wow it really is looking like a house now!! Things will slow down a bit now, we have ordered our cabinets... well decided on layout and that they will be stained ( that was a agonizing process... glazed or stained), still have to pick the exact stain! Interior doors are waiting to be delivered and trim work is to start this week along with pouring of concrete on the porches and garage!! All lighting choices have been made, tile choices done, plumbing choices done and today i did a few test spots of paint colors Hopefully not to many more choices to make.... things are starting to blurr...... Now if only Paramount drive would get some action in the selling department......

Flying Kites

It had been really windy so when i was at the drugstore waiting on Allergy meds.... I stumbled upon kites, Tyler chose a Frog for himself and a butterfly for Ashley! After naps we went to the school and had our first lesson in kite flying. Lesson #1 don't take two toddlers alone, who have little patiences and never have done this!! Ashley got very frustrated and pouted a good bit, but after alot of reassuring her that a lot of practice would make it go , she got it and it was worth all the frustrations!!
Tyler would get frustrated but wouldn't dropped to the ground and pout like Ash, that only made him focus more.... he did awesome for his first time!!
Thankfully Joan and Pappy came to the rescue and helped, however Daddy was upset at Mom, since she did this without him. Sorry Dad, i just got so excited too i couldn't wait!!!

Its like chasing Butterflies.... but the butterflies are chasing her! :)

Nanny Stewart

Feburary 21 1925- March 13, 2011


Nanny Stewart was reunited with Grandaddy On March 13th, 2011. She had a wonderful 86 years. She was a fighter to the end and then she stopped fighting and decided to go home with Granddaddy. I am sure they are cruising Sam's club and eating Rush's in Heaven now. Granddaddy only had 3 months to recope his energy to get ready for all of the chauffering around that Nanny so dearly missed! I hope you all are having fun in Heaven, Take all the trips you want now! But Don't forget to keep the Angels watching over us all down here on earth! Until we see you again! We love You to the Moon and Back!

Ashley had been wanting to go meet Kaylee's horse sweet pea, well sweet pea had been sick, but we decided to go out and visit her, took her for a walk and had a picinic. She is super sweet horse, we can't wait to get back to play with her when she is feeling better is what we thought at the end of our visit... Well sadly to say within a week of us meeting her she passed. It was a sad day for the girls, luckily 5 year olds bounce back pretty quick. Thank you so much Kaylee for that walk in the woods you shared with Ashley, Tyler and Me. We will miss you Sweet Pea!!

The zoo

Wow its only Febuary 13th and it is in the 60's! It feels wonderful!! We decided to get out and enjoy the weather at the zoo...... along with everyone else! A bit crowded but still a nice afternoon! The Kids love going!

Northern Snow!!

Well after Wade got a quick nap from working Sunday night and i did some taz mania packing ( didn't start to pack until 11 am Monday morning) Picked the kids up at noon, feed them lunch loaded the car and left our house at 230 pm, we arrived in the snow and freezing rain of Pennsylvania at 1230 am Tuesday morning! whew what a day! As we settled in the car for our 10 hour journey i felt as if i had done a morning marathon! ( I also worked Sunday Night, fortunately I skipped the black cloud and got a little sleep!)
Luckily the drive was uneventful and Tuesday was a nice lazy day recoverying at Meme and Papa's! Wednesday we woke to more ice and snow and high winds! WE had a blast sled riding, the kids helped Papa plow snow and we have done our share of eating and lounging! I am not quiet sure how to just stay put but it is also a much needed break from the fast go go pace we have been doing lately! THe only major bummer for me was tonight Wade and I were going to go to the outlets to do some shopping.... post poned due to weather! Boo!!

We had a play date with the Starnes family and Tyler and Jackson thought it was tons of fun to ride in Savannah's pink car! I wish we could find more time to get together the boys play so well together!
